However, the rookies from national U-19 team will fill the void.

“We have planned to assemble some players from U-19 team and some other clubs”, Club Coach Bal Gopal Maharjan said, “We will definitely compete in the tournament thinking the title in mind”.

Earlier in 29th edition, both Nepalese teams were in the final but NRT defeated Three Star to seal the bet. However, they are also trying to call their three players who are plying their trade in Bangladesh.

It is not yet sure whether striker Santosh Saukhala and defender Lok Bandhu Gurung will return from Bangladesh reportedly ending their salary dispute with the clubs.

“We know that teams are strong in the competition but they (opponents) should also know that we are coming to the competition” Maharjan cautioned other teams.

Three Star Club will leave Nepal on October 19, having the quarterfinal match on 21st October.
