Kolkata based Railways Football Club overcame Punjab Police in penalties after the game ended in a goalless draw during the second match of the 30th All India Governor’s Gold Cup being played here at Paljor Stadium.
Rohit from Punjab Police shot his penalty over the cross bar handing a 5-3 victory to the Railways. The last inconsequential penalty to be taken by Punjab Police was not taken. The Railways team converted all their five penalties.
Railways now face Tata Football Academy in the pre-quarterfinals on October 17.
