Speaking to Goal.com, the experienced coach said, “We don’t shout and brag about our strengths. To be fair, we have worked very hard in the last few weeks.”
The Englishman also downplayed their general opinion that their strikers won the game for them.
“We worked as a team. The strikers were good but they received some good passes. “
David Booth added that the ground conditions at Barasat weren’t ideal.
“The conditions were awful but it was, for both the teams,” points the experienced man.
Mumbai FC have four big opening games in their debut season and Booth insists that the key is to take each match at a time.
“It’s important to take one game at a time. Any slackness can cost us.”
