Panaji (PTI): Churchill Brothers have appointed Serbian Zoran Djordjevic as their new coach after they sacked Nigerian Emeka Ezeugo for his arragont attitude towards players and not reporting for training following the team lost to Mahindra United in the Durand Cup final.
"The difference with the players and the coach continued it would have serious effect to our team performance in the I-League where we play our opener against Mahindra United on September 27, and in order to end the problem I have no alternative but to sack the coach," stated Churchill Alemao, patron of the Churchill Brothers' team.
"Hopefully, the appointment of new coach now would end the problem with the players and the coach cordinate with each other to bring glory to the team," he added.
Zoran has vast experience as a coach. He started his coaching in Yugoslavia in 1978 and plied trade in the UAE (Al-Rams), Qatar, Kuwait, Yem, Sudan, Saudi Arabia (Al Hilal) and Iran, added Alemao.
